Hi I'm Cristian Morelli

I'm a musician, a student, a sport lover and I'm a mormon

About Me

I love music, it's part of who I am. I play the bass guitar, piano and since I also love electronic music, I love to Dj once in a while. I love sports, in particular swimming, basketball and road-cycling. I'm a student of the Florence University, in Italy, and I'm studying Political Science, and in particular International Relationships, for my goal is to work for the UN as a diplomat. I'm a former missionary of the New York South mission (2010-2012). I'm the oldest of three children, I have one brother (serving a mission in London, England) and a sister.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised with the teachings of this Church, but as a teenager I came to know for myself by reading many times the Book of Mormon, that this Church is the true one on the earth. The prophet Joseph Smith did restore through the power of God all the principles, teachings and components of the Church that Christ himself had established while He lived his mortal life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living and applying each day the principles of the Gospel and by striving to fulfill my duties as a leader of the Church in my unit in Italy. I strive to be an example to all my non-member friends. To live the Gospel is not always an easy thing, but as one strives to do it, the blessings he'll receive will make him the happiest man on earth.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Cristian Morelli
Maybe if you met our missionaries in the past you might think that all the members of our church live like them, by not watching tv, no internet and stuff. That is not true. We as members live like every other normal person on this earth but what makes us different is that we strive each day to live the way God has asked to live, for example by living the ten commandments. In other words we strive to live as true Christians, as true followers of His perfect example. You may also know that we do not drink alcohol, coffe or tea. You may also know that we do not smoke nor abuse of drugs. One the things that keep us safe from the many dangers of this world is the Holy Ghost. He is our constant companion as we receive Him as a gift, by the laying on of hands, after we are baptized. In order to have Him as a constant companion we need to avoid all those things that would make us addicted to them for the Holy Ghost speaks with a very still small voice and addictions are very distracting. We are not weirdos, we are simple people that believe that by following the example of Jesus Christ we can receive salvation and make this world a better place for us. Show more Show less
