Hi I'm Joe Sagers

I was born and raised in Utah. I enjoy working on cars and drumming. I am currently serving a mission in Independence, Missouri.

About Me

What's up? I love fixing, driving, and building automobiles, and I drive a Nissan 300zx turbo. I also enjoy playing sports, especially basketball. I was in drumline, Marching Band, and Jazz band during high school, where I played the drums. I am currently serving an LDS mission in Independence, Missouri. After my mission I plan to attend either college or a technical school, and pursue a career in the automotive industry. I love being a member of the Church. Doing so has blessed my life more than I deserve.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the teachings of the church make sense to me! The gospel of Jesus Christ has helped me make good decisions, including the choice to serve a mission. These decisions have led me to true and lasting happiness. All of us make mistakes, as I have many times. Whenever I get down on myself, I remember that I am a child of God, that he loves me a lot, and that he has provided a way for me to return back to him. He sent his son, Jesus Christ, to take upon himself all of our sins, pain, and heartache, because he wants us to come back to him, and because he loves us. I testify that all of us can return to Him someday, if we accept the Gospel and are obedient to it. I am so grateful for the fullness of the gospel contained in the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints. I say that in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving others. Service is a good way to think of others before yourself. It's also a way to follow the Savior's example, because most of his life was spent in the service of others. I have served in several callings in the Church, including teaching 5 year old primary kids! I love teaching primary because the children have simple, true testimonies of Jesus Christ at such a young age! I think it's crucial to read the scriptures and pray daily, because doing so brings us closer to our Heavenly Father and his will for us.
