Hi I'm Peter

I grew up in Texas. I am going to be an inventor. I am 17. I am proud to be a Mormon!

About Me

I am a certified Microsoft Office Specialist for word and power-point. I am currently taking a computer programming class as well as a web-design class. I live in Texas, which I feel is always too hot, especially in the summer. Because I have lived in Texas for most of my life I have only seen snow about every other year. I play the Euphonium (commonly called the Baritone). I have an unquenchable curiosity. Unless I am being specifically talked to or want to say something myself I like to be quiet and just listen to everybody else around me. I learn quickly, but similarly I also bore quickly if what I am learning doesn't progress fast enough for me. Some trials I face are: my family has hereditary migraines, and my dad has a tumor entwined in his brain-stem as well as a herniated back. Thankfully though, God has blessed my family so that my dad's tumor does not disable my dad like it scientifically should. For instance, his optical nerve is on the edge of death, yet he can still see, despite needing glasses to read or drive. I have three older brothers, three younger brothers, and my only sister is the oldest of my siblings. All of my family, except for my dad, has great musical talent; we even have a piano, saxophone, and a guitar. I am especially talented with science, math, and computers. My favorite candy is Reeses. I love to read, and my favorite series is Ranger's Apprentice, followed by Green Rider, and Fable Haven.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that this church is true with all of my heart. Also it gives me hope and a purpose to keep on going. I have seen miracles; without them I am sure that all of the members of my family would either be dead or permanently injured by now. I have felt his presence when I needed comforted, and when the Holy Ghost bore truth to me. I know those in the Godhood love me and care for me completely. I also know from experience that heavenly Father is not only interested in our spiritual salvation, but aids us in our physical and mental endeavors, however trivial they are. i bear my testimony, that without this church I would be lost and likely dead. This church is the church with the full and restored Gospel having the proper authority from God, and I owe all that I am, and have, to it. For me, God will always be first.

How I live my faith

I attend all of the church activities whenever I am able, including: seminary, Sunday church, youth dances, firesides, BYDs (Bishop Youth Discussions), and temple trips... I ask people to not curse or speak or act perversely around me. I am not shy to answer questions about what I believe in. I do my best to follow the "For the Strength of Youth" pamphlet. I do my best to follow my dad's example of virtually infinite patience. I respect the other gender as they should be as daughters and heirs of our Father in heaven. I attempt to obey and ask the permission of my parents in order to show them respect and ensure that I do not compromise their plans, whether for themselves or the family. I do my best to understand and search for the teachings of God, as well as paying attention to all of the details I may find.
