Hi I'm Carly Sue

I've lived all over the USA. I am an Actress of the Stage. I'm a Missionary. and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated with a BFA degree in Musical Theatre. I love theatre of all kinds! I have played great roles including Juliet in Romeo and Juliet and the Hungarian in Chicago. My goal is to be cast in an International Broadway Tour so I can see the world, meet the many wonderful people of the world, and do what I love for free! I had the opportunity a couple summers ago to live in Taipei, Taiwan and tutor English. That was one of the most influential and positive experiences of my life. I love exercise and eating well! I was able to lose 40 lbs and get to a healthy weight while in college. My favorite activities include biking, baking, and watching theatre. Oh and trying new things! I love to be adventurous, particularly when it comes to food. I love languages, learning new languages, and connecting the basic linguistics between all languages. I have my hand in many things, and am always will to learn about more! I fill my time up to the brim. Being busy and involved is my favorite thing to be.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the church, but there was a time in high school when I went "inactive" or just stopped going because I thought what my friends were doing was more fun than following the commandments. I quickly sunk into misery and what I call "blind happiness". I couldn't see what true happiness was. When all my friends had turned their backs on me, I knew something had to change, and it was me. Several people I admired were steadfast members of the church. They looked up to them and how at peace they were. They were kind, accepting, and happy. I wanted to know what they knew. I decided to go to my bishop and repent. It was a long process to regain my testimony. I was reading in Alma 32. In verse 27, it says "if ye will awake and arouse your faculties, even to an experiment upon my words..." This hit me. I made the stern decision to follow as closely to the straight and narrow as was possible. I did all that was asked of me. I read my scriptures to learn from them, prayed like it was a conversation, attended church with the intent to feel the spirit and learn, made an effort to be on time and prepared for seminary every day, and loved and honored my parents. These little adjustments made all the difference. I not only felt a change in my heart, I felt a change in how I treated those around me. I felt a love and respect for my fellow brothers and sisters. I felt a desire to do good continually. I grew closer to my parents. I can testify with all my heart and soul that if you "experiment upon the word", you will find this church is true, as I have. =]

How I live my faith

I am a visiting teacher over two lovely young ladies. I visit with them and share a message about Christ's love while getting to know them and aiding them in whatever they may need. I was just released as the Ward Choir Director of my singles ward. I am a part of this community volunteer program called "Store to Door" where I go grocery shopping for the elderly and disabled who are unable to shop for themselves. I am also a SMART reader at a local school where I read one on one with a child who is having a hard time keeping up with the rest of their class to get them the support and help that they need. I am currently preparing to serve an 18 month mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
