Hi I'm Hayden Kilgrow

I grew up in Salt Lake City. I moved to Texas, and I'm serving a full time mission in Berlin Germany. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I began playing soccer when I was three years old, and continued through High School. When I was 14, I started playing piano and guitar. I enjoy working out, listening to music, and playing with my dog.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, I always had questions about the gospel. My family always went to church on Sunday, but I was never mentally there. When I started my freshman year of High School, my questions made me doubt my faith, and because of that, I fell away. For about three years, I doubted and didn't go to church. It wasn't until my older sister decided to go on a mission, that I realized that I was mistaken. The night she got her mission call, I decided to kneel down and pray. I prayed for 20 minutes asking if this church was true, if I was in the wrong, and what I needed to do. After I finished, I started reading the Book of Mormon. After each chapter, I prayed about what I read. When I finished, I knelt down and prayed, asking if this was the word of God, translated by Joseph Smith. The answer I got was a definitive 'yes' and from that moment on, I haven't had any doubt in my mind that the Book of Mormon is true, and this is the true church of Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith was a prophet called of God, and he did restore His church on the earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by playing piano for church meetings, and helping the missionaries when they call me. I'm going to Berlin Germany as a full time missionary in April

What are Mormon temples used for?

Hayden Kilgrow
Mormon Temples are houses of the Lord. In ancient times, God commanded prophets to build temples so the people could worship Him. Temples are used to make covenants, and receive sacred ordinances, such as sealing a husband and a wife together for time and all eternity. We also do baptisms for the dead who didn't have an opportunity to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ Show more Show less
