Hi I'm Michelle

I am a registered nurse, writer, and photographer from Northern Utah.

About Me

After getting my bachelor's degree in nursing from Weber State University, I went another year to get a degree in technical writing. My last job was as a technical writer specializing in writing about medical software and services. When I'm not writing, I'm off adventuring in nature, photographing my friends and the Milky Way, or drawing in traditional or digital media.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon first and foremost because of my family. My father comes from a long line of Mormons clear back to the pioneers who originally settled Utah, and my mother is a first generation convert from halfway around the world to where I was born and raised. I am Mormon second because I have chosen it to continue to be a part of my identity, my culture, and my belief system. It's been a long and bumpy path, but even in the darkest moments where I have felt incredibly lost, I have managed to find peace in my religious and spiritual path. Mormonism for me is my choice vessel to grow and develop a relationship with the God I believe in. It is one of many means in my life through which I can serve my fellow humans as we all try our best through life. The Church is a powerful force for the Gospel, which is, at its very core, a lifestyle of love and charity.

How I live my faith

Whenever I can, I enjoy singing. For many years during my university studies, I participated in my university's LDS Institute choirs, which are choirs made up of volunteer LDS students who devout several hours or more of their time every week to rehearse and perform. Although I am no longer attending university, I still find ways to share my faith and belief in the charity of the Gospel through service as well as my love through music. In my experiences, music is one of the best methods to share your hopes and sincerity with others.
