Hi I'm Lindy

I grew up moving around all over the place. My Dad is an optometrist. I have 7 younger siblings. I love to sing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I moved 13 times before I turned 8, living in California, Idaho, Oregon and finally Utah. I love to sing and was invited to perform in a tour through 7 different European countries with the Utah Ambassadors of Music and thoroughly enjoyed it! I will soon have 6 little brothers and one little sister. I went to BYU-I for one semester. I had the opportunity to work at and LDS girls camp over the last summer and had a blast doing that. I'm tall for a girl, love eating, Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, Basketball, hiking, horseback riding, swimming, biking, rock climbing, doodling and being silly.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I can see the difference it makes in peoples lives, and more specifically my life. There is a peace that comes from knowing where I came from, what my purpose is in this life and what's going to happen to me when my life comes to an end. There is a joy that comes from the knowledge that I can be with those that I love, including my family for eternity. I know that the Lord can make more out of my life than I ever could alone. I have currently completed 6 of the short 18 months that I have to serve the Lord in the hope that even if I never convert one person to the gospel, that I will at least be able to bring them a fraction of the joy, hope, peace, and love that I've experienced in my life by living the gospel while I've still got time left.

How I live my faith

When I was a teen I served in almost every presidency position--from president to secretary--in all three of my church classes. I was blessed with the opportunity to work at Brighton LDS Girls Camp over this last summer and was able to testify each week to my girls that our Father in Heaven loves us so much, that he is aware of the trials and temptations that we live through each and every day, that he wants so much to help us through all of those hard times and that he will if only we'll ask. I am currently serving an LDS mission to show my thanks to the Lord for my many blessings. I try my best every day, dedicating ALL my time and energy to bringing others the same joy that I get to experience through the gospel and when I complete my mission, that won't be the end. I'll go home and continue on with my life, but I'll never stop being a missionary! I can't!! I wouldn't be able to face my Father when the time comes for me to leave this world to be judged by God. So, for just that reason, when I go home, not only will I be going to school and working, but I'll actively be looking for the people in my life who are looking for something more in life. I'll be working with missionaries and doing whatever calling in the church that I am assigned. I'll work until I've got nothing left! No money, no food, no house. Because I know that even if I don't have any of those things, I'll have my testimony and I know that that's all that really matters.
