Hi I'm Eric

I'm a quarter Asian, I love to play ping pong, and I'm serving in Fukuoka, Japan.

About Me

I am a nice, quiet guy. I like to play ping pong, and am serving in Fukuoka, Japan. I also like to play volleyball and ice skate, but I haven't had much time for those. I finished high school, and when I return from my mission I will go to UVU. I hold a general class ham radio license. I am very good at doing my genealogy. I am an Eagle scout. As far as academics, I succeed in math, and I want to learn computer programming.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family, and I didn't know for myself if it was true. I relied on my parents' testimonies. But as I learned more and more about it, I was more convinced it was true. When I was baptized, I felt the spirit strongly, and every so often I feel it, especially at church, or when I talk to my parents about emotional gospel things. That same spirit is what tells me that this is the true church; that Joseph Smith restored the gospel in these days, and that President Thomas S. Monson is our living prophet today. I know that the Book of Mormon is true because I have read it and prayed about it. I believe if we live righteously, God will bless us with a testimony of the reality of these truths.

How I live my faith

I have held many callings, but by far this is the greatest yet - to be a full time missionary. I have been the president of the deacons and teachers quorums, and have been the first assistant of the priests' quorum. I attended trek and had a great time (for the most part). The last calling I had was teaching the 12 year olds in Sunday school. I taught it for about 14 months. I feel that calling was the most influential to help me for my mission. Even though I'm an elder, I still helped out the priests with the sacrament, and blessed it almost every other Sunday. Finally, I try to go to the temple as much as I can to perform baptisms, endowments, and other essential ordinances.
