Hi I'm Avery

I have lived in Alberta all my life, and come from a family of 7 children, and I am Mormon. :)

About Me

Things about me! I will start with my favourite colour is sunshine yellow! I love music and sports. I am currently study Music Education at a post secondary level and I continue to train for upcoming triathlons. I also love rugby! I am the oldest of seven children but I love my family and I know they are always there for me!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that has been LDS for a long time, but choosing to go to church and remain active in the gospel has always been my choice. I haven't had a big wow revelation or conversion, but have gained a testimony of Jesus Christ and his gospel by praying about it and seeking out answers to my questions through scriptures. I know that Heavenly Father lives and that he is my literal Father. I know that I am a Child of God. I know he loves me. I know that the Plan of Salvation is real. I know the Atonement works. I know that there is peace and happiness by living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know Jesus Christ Atoned for everyone's sins and trials. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet of the church, and that there is a true and living prophet on the earth today. I know that we can receive direct revelation from God if we ask in faith. I know Heavenly Father is always there for us, and that he will never leave us hanging in times of trial, confusion and turmoil. I know coming unto Christ brings blessing from Heaven that we could never imagine to be true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the small and simple things that matter such as reading my scriptures everyday, communicating with God about my everyday life and fulfilling and magnifying my calls through Heavenly's Father will. Some callings that I have had in the church are helping to organize youth activities when I was in youth, training others to do family history work, ward pianist and now I am the choir pianist for my YSA(young single adult) ward. I have also decided to serve a mission for the church and I will be serving in the Tennessee Nashville Mission!

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

There are many things that tell me there is a God. First of all when I pray he answers my prays, and tells me he loves me by the many opportunities he puts in front of me such as the opportunity to go the the temple and serve others. I also know there is a God because he created this beautiful world around me. Show more Show less
