Hi I'm Samuel Max Clayson

Born and raised in Utah. I like to adventure. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I played high school basketball for two years before being cut from the team. I have enjoyed doing out door things such as. Summiting the highest mountain in Utah, hiking to the continental divide in Wyoming, and climbing around at Goblin Valley National Park

Why I am a Mormon

This church means everything to me. If there is one thing that the Mormon church provides me, it is confidence. Confidence in where I am going after this life, why God has put me here and why I have struggles. God has put all of us on this earth for a divine purpose and knowing that he is watching over me while I struggle helps me overcome temptation and feel comfort in adversity. I have struggled with sins just like everybody has, but my knowledge of His atonement gives me courage that I can face and overcome anything in my way. When I fall short, just like we all do, I know that Jesus Christ has paid for our sins and we can become clean again and worthy to one day enter his presence. This knowledge will help me on my mission. I know that the church is true, I feel it with my whole soul. I would never give up two years of my life to live in a different country, filled with people speaking a language I don't understand if I didn't wholeheartedly believe in this church.

How I live my faith

I am a future missionary. I am preparing to teach the people in the Taiwan, Taichung mission. I have had several positions of leadership in my youth classes and I graduated from four years of a gospel study course. I know my mission will be hard but I am excited for the opportunity to go to Taiwan for 2 years and learn the language and about their culture, while also teaching them my beliefs. Its kinda crazy that I'm 19 years old and moving so far away from home for two years.
