Hi I'm Jefferson Thornley

I'm from Mesquite, NV. Football is my favorite sport (I strive to play professionally one day). I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am leaving on a mission for two years, and when I return I plan to go to college and continue my football career. I'm from a small town that has amazing school spirit and that is part of why I decided to pursue a football scholarship. I have worked with a local mover for a year now to help pay for my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason why I became a member was because my parents made me go as a child. As I have grown, I can better understand the love and forgiveness of our Heavenly Father. I know that when I pray to Him, he hears and answers in His own way and in His own time. We may not at first see how He has blessed us, but after time we eventually see how He answered our prayers. I was a very shy, reserved young man, so I prayed for confidence when speaking to others. I later was asked to speak in church by my bishop on several occasions. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true gospel of our Father in Heaven. Always remember when going through trials in this life that He is always with you. Only through great pressure, much time, and much heat can coal become a gem, and the hottest fires forge the greatest diamonds. Trials in our lives make us stronger and help us become more perfect like our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

For a while I was just an atendee of my church. Now, I am going to a foreign country to teach people about the LDS church in their native language.
