Hi I'm Jerri

I grew up in the USA. I have a husband, 6 children & 13 grandchildren. I taught Special Education. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love learning about how people, especially children, learn to learn! Teaching, reading and sewing are my interests and passions. My husband, children and grandchildren make my life wonderful and rewarding. I have been very interested in humanitarian-type service projects-1000 dresses made for girls in Africa, quilts for the Humanitarian center, Christmas for Hispanics in our community and helping organize food drives for the local food pantry. donations for the free health clinic and kits for CAPSA.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors laid down a religious path for me, joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the early 1830's. My parents lived a life devoted to the Church and it's teachings and I am thankful for that every day. I have always known that Heavenly Father loves me and that Jesus is the Christ, our Redeemer. This brings me daily hope and cheer. I love the life I have been given, even with it's challenges. The Lord has always been there to help me through hard times (challenges with teen-agers, cancer, my father's death and now caring for my aging mother). I take heart in the fact that there is a living prophet on the earth today and hope I will always follow his counsel, instructions, and example.

How I live my faith

Being involved with girls and women in our church has been very rewarding for me. Visiting teaching, where you really get to know another person's heart and become lifelong friends, is one of my favorite things. Recently, I was able to teach singing to young children-what a joy that was (and they say the funniest things!). The scriptures and prayer are my solace and my foundation for daily living.
