Hi I'm Maria Nester

A Californian native recently relocated to Round Rock, Texas. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time mother and a part time student. I am finishing my bachelors in health science online while managing my time as a mother, wife and homemaker. Some things I love are hiking, working out, cooking, crocheting and knitting, playing with my babies and going on crazy adventures with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know with all of my heart it is true. I have prayed about it and I can't imagine my life without it. I would feel empty and I'd want more for my family and myself. The gospel just makes sense. I like things that make sense. It is a simple gospel, but intricate all at the same time. It is the way to true joy. I love my Savior and all He has done for me. Without His sacrifice we could never have the potential to become like our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching my children about Jesus. Children learn so simply and my oldest isn't even in preschool yet. I love going back to the basics with them. Establishing Family Home Evening, daily prayer and scripture studies are what we are working on as a family. My calling is Compassionate Service Leader and I love it. I didn't know how much serving others can make you happy! I participate in my community by being an active member of the local Facebook Mommy group. I try to share uplifting messages when appropriate and share advice and love.

What is being a Mormon like?

Maria Nester
Being a Mormon is knowing that you have the potential to become exactly like God, our Heavenly Father, one day. It is a way of life that many people choose to follow because it offers a peaceful reassurance that all will be made whole again, that everything will be OK. Being a Mormon offers a positive view on the world that we are all brothers and sisters and are all equally loved in the sight of God. Show more Show less
