Hi I'm Kathryn

I am married to the love of my life. We have 8 children. I love running, organizing and being a mom and grandma! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a wife, mother and grandmother. My family is my life. My husband and I are the parents of eight children, four girls and four boys. As a family we enjoy the mountains, hiking, singing, playing games, laughing and being together. I personally love running, cooking, organizing and playing the piano. Having a larger family has taught me the need to focus on the most important things. There are so many great things to be involved in but what is most important to me are relationships and people. In fact there are four things that I try to do each day to keep me on track with my goals and aspirations. I call them the four R's - Reading, Running, Relationship and Routines. Reading my scriptures has helped me understand who my Heavenly Father is and His son Jesus Christ. Reading my scriptures has also helped me understand truth. Running has kept me physically fit and helped in all of the areas of my life. Relationships and being involved daily with my children and husband has brought me the greatest satisfaction and routines are those daily tasks of making my bed, doing the dishes and fixing dinner that have helped keep my home a place that my children like to be. The four R's provide the much needed structure and strength that I have needed through the years.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ on my eighth birthday. At that time I had a small and budding testimony of who Jesus Christ was. Today after many trials, joys and experiences I can honestly say I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus is the Living Christ. He knows who I am personally and He is my elder brother. My life has been filled with many ups and downs yet because of my faith in my Heavenly Father and His son I am able to be at peace. "Peace is not the absence of trouble, but the presence of Christ." I know He lives!

How I live my faith

I also love serving my neighbors and friends. In the Church I have worked with the young women and have enjoyed that calling! The youth have kept me young. I love learning and growing with them. I also love playing and singing in my church choir. One of the greatest blessings of being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ is the association with some wonderful people. My dearest friends were made as we served together on committees and worked to further our Heavenly Father's work.
