Hi I'm Rourke

I have a beautiful wife. We have eight children, two sons-in-law and six grandchildren. I sing in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

About Me

I'm a husband and a father. Our family motto is "We can do hard things". We love to spend time together. We love making music, being physically active and acting crazy. .

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a "Mormom" family and have grow up LDS. In my life I've had dreams of the Savior: I won't share details but I know the atonement is real! I've received visionshad of my family while in the Temple: My wife and II have both had this happen. The visions were of of children, were clear and have been fulfilled. Throughout my life I've had strong feelings about the prophet Joseph Smith: Ever since I was a youth I've consistently felt powerful feelings about Him and his role in restoring the gospel of Jesus Christ. I've received comfort from the Spirit when I've gone through difficult times: I've gone through several very difficult periods where I have felt pressed to my utmost limits and have cried out loud to the Lord for help. In each of these times of trial I've received comfort but have still had to work through the problems. I've learned to rely on the Savior for everything. i know that Thomas S Monson is our living prophet. The Book of Mormon is true. I've been amazed at how clearly it teaches of these latter days. Based on this and much more, I know my Father knows me. He cares about me individually. These are things that help me feel comfortable, even joyful, to let my sons leave home for two years and serve Him as missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It seems so little a sacrifice especially when weighed against his sending His son on an Atoning mission. A mission that ultimately makes possible for all of us to be redeemed and return to our Fathen in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I sing in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir And love sharing my testimony of the Savior through music. I've been a bishop and enjoy working with youth.
