Hi I'm Brooke Devereaux

I'm called to serve in the Spain Madrid mission from May 2015-November 2016. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of four girls, the baby. I love my family, friends, and adventures. I currently attend Brigham Young University where I plan to study nursing. Wish me luck as I apply for a program with about a 30% acceptance rate (yikes)! I am called to serve in the Spain, Madrid mission in May of 2015. I can't wait for the adventures that this brings me and the opportunity to serve the people of Spain and surround myself in God's work. I am so grateful for my loving Heavenly Father and the joy He has put into my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I love this question. I was born into a strong Mormon family and yes, it was probably expected of me to be baptized a member of the church. But true conversion is so much more than that. I am a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father, because I believe in the prophet Joseph Smith, and I believe he restored God's church on this earth in this dispensation.

How I live my faith

Growing up, I was one of few members of the church, like many of you. I love learning about other religions and sharing beliefs among friends. By sharing my faith and listening to others thoughts, my testimony grew tremendously. I live my faith by always striving to live in accordance to God's plan for me. Of course, I fall short. But the point is to try. And our Savior, Jesus Christ, has filled in all the gaps. The way I believe I can show my gratitude is loving His children.
