Hi I'm Jessica Boehme

I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm leaving for my mission on March 11 to Texas :D When I have to describe myself to others, I never remember anything about my self. I just end up saying that "I'm just not an interesting person." But I promise I'm not as boring as I sound...hopefully. Well, I am the only girl in my family, as well as the oldest. I have two biological brothers and 4 step-brothers. These boys are my best friends and they make my life more amazing, crazy, and fun everyday. I love them so much. I love to read, like a lot. it is all I ever want to do, honestly. I have stayed up all night and then went to school without sleeping (I'm not saying that it was a smart thing to do, because it definitely was not.) After I return from my mission after 18 months I am going to go to school to be an elementary school teacher. I also want to get a degree in psychology. I want to work with children and help them progress through life. I want to help them realize how important and amazing they are.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I was baptized when I was eight, but I didn't understand what I was doing or what church I was even joining. My parents and I didn't go to church so I didn't know what was going on. So during my parents divorce I just went to church, seminary, and young women's because my mom told me to. It wasn't until my junior year of high school when I was 17 that I truly felt the love of God and converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Every thing in my life changed, school became more important, I wasn't depressed, I was more confident. My mom 2 brothers and I were no longer living with my aunt and we moved into a smaller ward. That ward was the first time I ever felt like I was a part of a family. And because of them, I let myself truly feel the love and warmth of the spirit testify to me the truth of the Gospel of Christ. and now because of the simple kindness shown to me, I am going to serve a mission to share the gospel to others.

How I live my faith

I am a leader over the very little children in nursery in my ward. I love spending time with these special little tots. I get to play, color, and teach them the simple truths of the church. I am also a Scout leader over the Wolves, who are 8 years old, these little boys are some crazy cool cats. They make my Monday nights super fun. I am going on a mission!!! I am super excited!!
