Hi I'm Jeremy

I grew up in Minnesota, I am a School Bus Driver, Student, future teacher and principal. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student, currently working as a school bus driver. I enjoy playing the casual video games and I love to read. I love learning and learning about other people. I have celiac disease (gluten-free) and enjoy finding new and exciting things to bake/cook. And I love children, I am now preparing to be a future teacher and learning how to be a better, future teacher and father.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this faith because I have seen the light of the Gospel. When I first learned about the church, I was simply going to another members house for a discussion. When I sat down with him, he asked to start with a prayer. I grew up Catholic and had prayer often when I grew up, but when he said this prayer a feeling came over me the likes that I had never felt. The spirit had manifested itself upon me very strongly. Now at this point I was interested. From that point on I began my investigation of these things and I needed to find for myself if the church was true. After reading the Book of Mormon and with praying honestly and earnestly I found that the Church of Latter-day Saints was true. That was almost 3 years ago now. In that time I have had a number of experience like this that have testified of the truth of the Gospel. I have seen that Heavenly Father lives, that he loves us, and that he has restored the church through the modern day prophet Joseph Smith. But also that he wants me to share this with others. I am now preparing to serve a mission for the church. And in this preparation I have learned much about salvation, repentance, and His eternal glory. If there had to be one reason that I continue to follow and believe so strongly in my faith as a Latter-day Saint. It is because I know he loves me and that if I put my faith in him I know everything will be alright. I testify of the truth of the gospel and that Heavenly Father lives and that he loves us. Amen.

How I live my faith

I am preparing to be a missionary, to leave for 2 years from my home and go out into the world and teach for the church. I also go out with the missionaries to help them teach the people who are interested in my area locally.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Jeremy
A testimony is basically someone expressing their feelings of truth given to them by the Holy Ghost. Having a testimony is a very important factor because it shows that we ourselves believe in our Heavenly Father and all that he teaches us. Show more Show less
