Hi I'm Stefen VanderZIel

I live a dutch community where my family are the only members of the Church. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the middle child and the only boy. I have 2 older sisters and 2 younger sisters. I have 2 nephews and 1 niece. I was homeschooled but in my Junior year I decided to play football with my local school so I was the first homeschooler and Mormon on the team. I was the first to receive my Eagle Scout in my Troop, Branch, community and Family. I am going on my mission and decided at a young age that is what I wanted to do. So after I graduated from school I went to work to earn the money to go on my mission. But since my family is the only LDS family in our community I feel like I have always been on a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because many can say I grew up in the church that is why I am Mormon. But I live in a Dutch community with 2 Dutch Reformed Churches and I could have been easy just to go to those churches but I have studied and learned more about the church and it has helped me grow. And has helped my testimony grown and Learn. I have found that as I have learned and grown the church has helped me make the right decisions and lead me on the right path.

How I live my faith

I am a Primary teacher I teach the 3 year olds. It has been fun. When my community was hit by a ice storm and it destroyed the park in town I organized the community to clean the park. I have help the young men in my church by trying to be an example. When I was on the school football teams we always started the games with prayer and no one swore in front of my and if it slipped out they felt bad because they knew that it was nothing that I did. I was the captain on the sidelines while I played ball because it did not matter if we were winning or losing I just kept everyone looking forward. I always told everyone that I was going on a mission to serve my Father in Heaven after I graduated because it was something I wanted to do for my Lord.
