Hi I'm Meeshell

I love to travel, I love to follow my heart, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 24-year-old single woman. I graduated from college with my BS and I now do marketing for companies. I love to travel. Thinking of and planning my next adventure is one of the most exciting things to me! I love seeing new places and meeting new people. People of different faiths, backgrounds, and cultures. I've met so many amazing people that I am convinced that there is so much more good in this world than we give it credit for.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a small town in California. Growing up, I got into a ton of trouble. I did not really go to any specific church nor did I think I was good at anything or for anything. In my early teens I found the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I thought I would try it out. From then on my life slowly began to change. I slowly stopped getting in trouble and began doing better in school. My circle of friends slowly changed for the better and I gained a stronger relationship with my family. Now, thirteen years later, I have experienced more miracles in my life than I can count. I am continuously amazed at what Heavenly Father blesses me with. I continue to live the gospel of Jesus Christ because it feels my soul with deep joy and assurance. I have purpose and meaning in my life. I'll be the first to admit that sometime life is hard. Sometimes I have bad day and weeks, even. I feel like I know better than anyone else what it is like to get into a rut. But with Christ and His gospel I have always found a light at the end of the tunnel. It always gets better. Always. Honestly, I am Mormon because I love Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be like Christ. I love Him so much. I do this by trying to be kind, honest, and virtuous. Living my faith is so much more than going to church on Sunday. Everyday I pray and read my scriptures. Throughout the day I try to help others and just be a good person. Sometimes in my life I am afraid to try new things because I don't want to fail. I hate failing. Who doesn't? The great thing about the gospel of Jesus Christ is that I don't have to be afraid. I am aloud to "fail" or "fall" as many times as I need to until I get things right. That is what repentance is. It is trying and trying again until I get it right.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon was written by prophets who lived in the Americas. Heavenly Father loved His children on this continent just as much as He loved those in Jerusalem and he wanted them to know about Christ as well. Those prophets kept record of what they were taught about Christ and their experiences with Him. My favorite part of the Book of Mormon is when Christ visited the people in the Americas after He was resurrected. The people were so amazed because they had always heard about Him and that He would be born and live in Jerusalem. When He visited them He let them feel the scares in His hands and feet so they would know it was Him. This was such a meaningful experience for these people that they wrote it down so everyone could know that Jesus Christ REALLY IS the Son of God. Show more Show less
