Hi I'm Josh Browning

I grew up in Idaho, family is everything to me, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

For my whole life I have dreamed that I could one day play for my favourite NBA basketball team, the Utah Jazz. Since I am not 7'6'' and my vertical is... lacking, I soon realized that I should take up another hobby. That is when skiing came into play. I enjoy being outdoors (as long as the Jazz are not playing), whether that is on the nearest ski hill, or on the driveway shooting hoops. My aspirations in life include, going to University, having a family, and to enjoy every moment- whatever life brings us.

Why I am a Mormon

I have come to learn that a man, who lived 2,000+ years ago, who I have never seen, and most likely never will see in this lifetime, on why He is important to me. I know without a doubt, that Jesus Christ knows us each individually. That He loves and cares about you. I know that there is a God; He sent his only begotten son to die for us, so that through Him (Jesus Christ), we can become clean again. That guilt can become relief. That sorrow can become hope. And that we can all have a second chance, time and time again.

How I live my faith

I can still remember times when I was younger, my Mom, coming to wake me up, early most times, on a Sunday morning. I would think to myself "why do we even go to church?" Now that I have grown a foot or two (still not 7'6''), I have learned that church recharges our batteries, so that we can get over those "lows" throughout the week. I have had many opportunities to serve in the church that has taught me, serving others is where happiness is found.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Josh Browning
The Atonement has three basic events that happened. They are: 1. Jesus Christ suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane, this is where He felt everything that we could ever possibly feel. All of your heart-aches, physical pain, emotional breakdowns, and anything that has ever been "hard". Christ knows exactly how you feel in any situation. 2. This is when Jesus hung on the cross. This is where He actually died for us. 3. After being put in the garden tomb, He was resurrected 3 days later. He broke the bands of death. Because of that, we will all be able to be resurrected. Because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ (those three steps), we can all be made new again. We can find a peace like never before. It is all through God's Son, whom is our Savior. Without this Atonement, we would be lost. Jesus Christ is literally our Savior. Because He did just that; saved us. Show more Show less
