Hi I'm Cassandra

I grew up in Utah. I graduated from college. I love animals.

About Me

I love hiking and camping, but I also love to play The Legend of Zelda games. I love to draw and be creative. I love reading all sorts of books, mainly fantasy or fiction though. I was in the Army ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) for two and a half years and loved almost everything we did and learned.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this church. I was taught about Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father ever since I was a child. So I never truly understood what this church meant to me. When I was older and going to college I went through some of the Army training camps. In the Army we have to train really hard and practice all the time. There's always something that we needed to be working on or improving so we never had much time for religious practices. Things got difficult and stressful and discouraging. Those are the times when I found out how much of a difference it is in my life to have the gospel. The way I felt and the love I had for others and the actions I took were always far better when I took the time to read the scriptures, to pray and to attend church meetings when given the chance. There's far more peace in my life and more direction, motivation and courage to do what is right when I place spiritual needs above any physical and temporal needs that I have. I go to church to be closer to our Heavenly Father and our brother and savior Jesus Christ. Doing these things makes me happy, so I continue to do so.

How I live my faith

I love going and helping out as service projects. It makes me feel happier when I help others. I also helped plan the activities for my ward like tubing down the Provo river, outdoor laser tag, paddle boarding and dances.
