Hi I'm Bethany Brimhall

I am a swimmer, a musician, a visionary, and most importantly, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived all around the United States from the big cities of Boston and Denver to the good ole country of Jackson and San Antonio. I was one out of five Mormons in my high school of 2,000 kids and there were many times where I had to stand alone for what I believed in. I love sports, especially outdoor activities and I love music. I have attended BYU for two years and am now taking my time for the next 18 months to gladly serve as a sister missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the West Virginia, Charleston Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I sometimes ask myself why I continue in this gospel after all these years but the answer that always reappears is that it is what has helped me endure all of my trials all along. I can testify that God is the voice of reason and his voice can be heard through our modern day prophet Thomas S. Monson and his apostles. I love how our church is compatible and consistent to the teachings of Jesus Christ and by him, we can cultivate ourselves to greater heights where we will be able to face any trial with courage. I love this church and I am glad to be a part of it.

How I live my faith

I was president over the youth in my past ward and as of right now, I am a gospel doctrine teacher and teach college students about the New Testament. I have done lots of community service, especially in Mississippi where much damage was done by tornados over the past couple of years. I was glad to help and improve the community I lived in.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Bethany Brimhall
I have come to know my Father in Heaven by praying to him throughout each day. I also try to read my scriptures each night and whether its one verse or full chapters, I learn more about him and how he specifically communicates to me through the written word. He is my guide in a lot of decisions and I always ask him to help me make the best judgement. Sometimes it's hard to understand the entirety a situation but in asking my Heavenly Father to give me a broader perspective, he shows me what to do "line upon line and precept upon precept" (2 Nephi 28:30). Answers may come slow but The Lord knows the right timing. If I disobey him, I have a hard time feeling the spirit of the Holy Ghost and can't receive any direction. Yet if I obey him and do the right things, the Holy Ghost leads the way and I don't feel lost anymore. Show more Show less
