Hi I'm DeNile M

I grew up in Arcadia, Utah. We moved to Orem, Utah and then to Farmington, New Mexico. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and a grandfather of of 17 wonderful grand children. I enjoy stream fishing and camping and participated in several sports, volley ball were enjoyed the most. I have worked in the drafting and surveying profession for 48 years

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized and became a member of the Mormon Church at age 8. My parents and grandparents were not active in the church. I read part of the Book of Mormon at age 16, but I never read and prayed about it until I was 18 while working away from home in Nevada. I received a personal witness, through my reading and prayers, that the Book of Mormon was true scripture, and that Joseph Smith was indeed a prophet. Upon returning home to go to college, I received and accepred mission call to serve in the West Central States Mission. I am a Mormon because I studied and prayed and received a witness for myself that it was true, and that the Book of Mormon a witness of the divinity of Jesus Christ, and the He is the Son of God and Savior to the world.

How I live my faith

I have served on advisory boards, the Salt Lake County Flood Control, and the Salt Lake Community College. Activities and positions in the church have included Scout leader, working with and teaching youth groups, helping on building projects and community service projests and have been invoved in planning and implementing activities for adult and youth groups. Fay and I have served together teaching, as missionaries, and service in the Vernal Utah Temple. It has been and is great to have the opportunity to serve ourfamily and neighbors.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

DeNile M
“We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.” Articles of Faith No. 1. We believe that God is our eternal loving Father and that “He has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s”, and that He has a perfect glorified body, He is perfect, He is kind, all powerful, and just. We are his children, and because he loves us, he has provided a way for us to become like Him. Joseph Smith taught.. ..‍ “The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of Spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us.” He also taught….“I have always declared God to be a distinct personage, Jesus Christ a separate and distinct personage from God the Father, and that the Holy Ghost was a distinct personage and a Spirit: and these three constitute three distinct personages and three Gods.” Show more Show less
