Hi I'm Kate Hadfield

Im a lover of chocolate and peanut butter, beautiful sunsets and the ocean and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah my whole life, and then attended a semester at BYU Hawaii. I love the ocean and the beach, and everything to do with Hawaii. I love the outdoors and finding beauty in everything. Sunsets and sunrises are my favorite. I love to travel, and see new places. I love playing tennis, and any other sport. I am very competitive. I love to talk to people and get to know them, and i really do care what people have to say. I love to go on adventures and find creative fun things to do in my small town. I love to read romance novels, and i love to write. I think that its easier to put my feelings out there through writing then actually out loud. I love to cook-mostly delicious treats, and i don't know what i would do without chocolate in this life. Whoever invented chocolate and peanut butter together was a genius. I love music! I play the piano, and I'm a lover of country music. I am the second youngest in my family, and am currently waiting to serve a mission in Frankfurt Germany.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints, because i don't know where i would be without it. Yes i was raised in it, and some could argue that i didn't really have a choice. But as i attended college, thousands of miles away, I came to know for myself that this church was true. I am a mormon, because i have felt more love, peace and comfort then i have ever felt anywhere else. I am a Mormon because i know that anytime i have felt completely and literally alone i am not. Heavenly Father is there for each and everyone of us. He loves us infinitely. He knows your worries, doubts, concerns, weakness's and faults. And He still loves you infinitely. I know that i am a daughter of god. I am a mormon because i have felt of his love, and care for me. I know that He knows me and that He loves me personally. I am a mormon because every time i do something for this church, i feel a special spirit. A warm feeling that makes me happy. A feeling that makes me want to be my best self. I am a mormon because i am a big believer in happiness. And thats what this gospel has given me. Along with happiness i am a mormon because this gospel gives me hope. Hope in good things to come, and assurance that there is a greater picture. I am a mormon because of how beautiful this earth is. How could a meteor have created it? I know that we have a creator, and that it is because of him we have all things that are beautiful upon this earth. I am a mormon because I wouldn't want to be anything else.

How I live my faith

I'm a big believer in the little things, so i live my faith by doing the simple every day things. I read my scriptures and say daily prayers. But most importantly, i believe in being a good friend to others. I have a lot of co-workers who are not mormon, and i have loved getting to know them and become their friends. I don't become their friends because i want to convert them, but because i love them as a person whether they have my same beliefs or different beliefs. I love to learn about people. I live my faith by being a good listener and willing to love someone, no matter what pasts, presents or futures they have.I live my faith by dressing modestly, and never altering my outfits to fit in. While in hawaii there were big temptations to dress immodestly for the beach or hot weather, but i never make up an excuse to dress immodestly. I also try to not complain and be a happy fun person to be around. I like to look at life optimistically and laugh at my mistakes. I live my faith by watching my language and being careful about what i say about others. I try to look for the best in others and practice patience. I live my faith by helping others. I tutor at an elementary school, helping children become better readers. I live my faith by being honest in every way. Lying is one of my biggest pet peeves, and i make sure that i am truthful in all things. I live my faith by attending the mormon temple every week.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Kate Hadfield
No mormons do not only help mormons. Mormons want to help everyone! They believe in "mourning with those that mourn, and comforting those that stand in need of comfort" As a mormon we believe in helping everyone that is in need of it, and offering as much help as we can give. We hope that by helping everyone, others will see our example and happiness that we have, and be able to use that to bless others. Even those who are not of our faith. Show more Show less
