Hi I'm Samuel Thomas

I grew up England. I can break-dance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to break-dance and swim! I have three brothers and five half siblings.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents joined the church before I was born and so I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Although having the gospel in my life and doing what it teaches is completely different things. I grew up knowing there is a God, that we have a living prophet and that we have the restored gospel of Jesus Christ through the prophet Joseph Smith. I went to church and church events etc. Yet I did not know completely for myself until I searched for my own testimony. In other words, I needed to find out what my parents believed for myself. I knew how to pray but my relationship with God and Jesus Christ was weak. I gained a closer relationship with God and Jesus Christ through reading The Book of Mormon (Another Testament of Jesus Christ). It took a lot of effort and patience in trusting that God would answer. Sometimes I would read and it would feel just as words on a page and wondering 'why do I need to know about all these wars?' or I would not get much of it (also I hate reading books). I remember reading in The book of Mormon on the way to work one day and reading from the book of Alma in chapter 32 and felt a happy and joyful sensation really strong whilst reading it. I was filled with an overwhelming joy and it was hard to describe but I know that God had been answering my prayers. As I also remember watching the Joseph Smith video and listening to when he knelt and prayed about which church he should join. I felt something very strong enter in my heart that it was telling me what happened, really did happen. I feel that same spirit each time I hear his experience. For me, I know Joseph Smith is a prophet but I wouldn't have been able to find that out if I did not read the book of Mormon or listening to Joseph Smith's first vision. All that aside it has changed me to be a good boy and do good acts for others and so this is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I was a volunteer swimming teacher at a local swimming club. As a family, we go to church and it helps me to treat other people nicely and has changed me to be a better person.
