Hi I'm Caitlin

I live in Texas, I live to laugh, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of two. Having an older brother has made me very competitive whether it be in sports or academics. I love puzzles and mysteries. I love to laugh--whether it be at a joke or at myself. I love to travel and everywhere I go I am sure to get a postcard. I love to learn and I am currently a freshman in college. I have decided to place all of these things on hold to serve for the next 18 months as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I can't wait.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I didn't come to this knowledge all at once. I grew up in the church and over the years I learned many things. The more I learned the more everything seemed to make sense. As things began to make sense I started to sincerely apply them into my life--whether it be prayer, fasting, or tithing--and as I did so I could feel that these things were right. I don't think I realize how strong my testimony was until I went to college and was surrounded by those who didn't have the same level of testimony. Being away from home, I knew it was my choice about how I wanted to live my life. So I made my decision. I knew that I wanted to go to church and pray everyday and read my scriptures because I knew that those things were what made me happy. I made the conscious decision to do those things that make me happy, and I've never regretted it. Being a Mormon makes me happy.

How I live my faith

My faith is a part of who I am. Everyday I try and follow Christ's example. Part of this is service. At church I've had the opportunity to serve in many different positions whether it be by playing the piano or teaching the Old Testament in Sunday School. Soon I will be serving The Lord and my fellow men as a full-time missionary where I will be teaching others of Christ and His church.
