Hi I'm Neive

I am 24, a wife, Australian, passionate about children and education, music and reading make me happy. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my (non-LDS) loving husband for two years and we have three dogs we call our babies. I have a strong passion for children and helping them reach their full potential so I decided to become a teacher! I am in my final year of studying a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) and I love it! "Education is the difference between wishing you could help other people and being able to help them." (Russell M. Nelson). My Mother converted to the church when I was 9 and although I was baptised, I don't believe I gained a strong testimony. I left the church in my early teens and found my faith again just 12 months ago. Since then I have seen dramatic changes in my life and I feel strong and firm in my testimony. Although difficult at times, coming back to church was the best decision I have ever made.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon gives me peace, joy, hope, understanding, comfort and a positive perspective on my future. I know what I am doing is leading me to where I want to go. I feel the Spirit at church, when I read my scriptures and as I pray. When I fell away from the church I often had moments of self-doubt, sadness and loneliness. Although those feelings may still come from time to time, I now have greater confidence in who I am - a daughter of God, and that he loves me. With this knowledge, I am never alone. Through the Atonement I can overcome my past mistakes and be given the strength to continue to make the right choices in my future. I know that prayers are answered and we can put our trust in the Lord to take care of us. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and was written for us this day, there are so many powerful messages within the pages to help, guide and support us through our own trials in life. I am so grateful for the perfect plan of happiness laid out for us to follow and that one day I can live with my family for eternity.

How I live my faith

I communicate with my Heavenly Father through prayer each day, read my scriptures, listen to and read General Conference talks frequently, sing gospel music, attend church meetings and serve others when and where I am able to. I find social media a powerful tool to help me live my faith as I follow many different accounts which share positive and uplifting messages to help me always remember to choose the right. It takes more then just belief to strengthen your faith - it requires actions. I live my faith by making the small choices each day that will ultimately bring me closer to my Heavenly Father and grow my faith. "Decisions determine destiny" (Thomas S. Monson) is a quote I keep close to my heart. These small decisions allow me to be an example to my husband, family and friends.
