Hi I'm Marissa

I'm a dancer. I've lived in 7 different locations throughout my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Marissa, born in California, but grew up in Nevada. I am a newlywed attending BYU with my husband here in Utah. I'm about to graduate with a degree in Dance Education, minor PE/coaching. I've danced my whole life. I started as a ballerina and with time became familiar with most dance styles along the way. I've danced for many companies all over the country. My favorite job was performing at Walt Disney World as a Disney Princess, but for the past 4 years I took on being a Ballroom dancer and touring with BYU's Ballroom Dance Company. This next year I plan on settling down and beginning the next chapter of my life, being a mother. I also plan on getting a job as a dance/PE teacher in the public schools to put my husband through dental school. I've lived all over the place and am willing to live wherever dental school takes us. We look forward to living somewhere green though. I love Disney, shopping, playing in the outdoors, camping, playing soccer, being active, board games, cooking, gardening, decorating, and spending time with loved ones.

Why I am a Mormon

I have loved being a Mormon! There is always something new to learn about life, making the right choices, and God's plan for me. Its teachings has helped me to press forward with faith and understanding. There are so many topics today that are misunderstood by so many. The church and it's teachings has helped me to understand and overcome those issues and challenges. I know that God loves each of us so he continues to call prophets to lead us and guide us in these Latter-Days to come closer to our Savior and the path that leads to our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

My husband and I both served missions for our church in Spain. As missionaries we invited others to come unto Christ. We continue to keep the missionary spirit alive as we serve others and invite them to church and activities. We know that the gospel makes one happy and is for all.
