Hi I'm Alisha

I am a mother of six who loves being around children.

About Me

I love music it is a part of my soul. I play piano, flute, recorder and I love to sing. I love children and being around them. During the week I work at the school doing lunchroom supervision, and participate in school councils. As well I organize and plan two trade show events a year, that combine direct sales, farmers market and local vendors. My other passions are gardening, canning, art, photography and cooking. I know a little sign language and try to learn at least one new thing every year.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born Mormon but didn't question my faith until I was 18. I prayed for months after I finished reading the Book of Mormon. No answer was coming. Then one day I was playing piano and I played the song "I Know that My Redeemer Lives". There was no lightening, no loud proclamation, it was a quiet answer, that said "You have alway known." I knew that God answered my prayer, quietly and gently and peacefully. The feeling of comfort and love that I felt I will always remember. That testimony has held me through all my doubt until the doubts turned into more faith. Even writing about it right now I have those feelings again. I know that Jesus Christ is real. I know that He has a plan for me and that He will help me through everything. I know that I will see Him again. And that has changed everything for me.

How I live my faith

I learned from a young age that with God everything will work out. When my father passed away at 16 I learned personally that Heavenly Father was there for me always. As I have seen miracles in my life I have come to learn that the plan of Salvation is real. I love working with the children in church, this year we are learning about Jesus Christ through the New Testament. I know that Jesus knows me personally, that He is my Saviour and with Him nothing is impossible. I know that prayer is real. If you ever are looking for an answer or looking for peace turn to prayer. Prayer is my life line. Life has not gone as I expected but with His help it has been more marvellous than I could have expected too.
