Hi I'm Josh

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a high school graduate. I love skiing and have gone many times every year since I was little. I love to hike/bike/camp around the Utah mountains. I've worked for a long time in fast food at Wendy's... That was a lot less enjoyable, but I still learned a lot and earned a lot of money that will go to financing a year or two in college.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church, but even from a young age I still felt that it was the right place to be. As I got older, I allowed myself to disobey more and eventually I fell away entirely. Those were the hardest and saddest years of my life. One day I realized that I was miserable, and then I remembered how happy I had been when I had followed the teaching of the LDS church. So I tried coming back, little by little. I noticed that I was happier... much happier. I was doing better in school, in work, at home. I was becoming more patient and thought through problems more carefully. In short, I am Mormon because it makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I go to church once a week, on Sunday, I attend three classes which take up about three hours. I've been given a calling in my area to home teach other members. Right now we are to help our assigned members get started on their genealogy. Every Monday I have family home evening, which is our family getting together and hearing a lesson from either mom or dad and then doing some activity together. I prayerfully study the scriptures every night with my journal close by. At the end of each and everyday I pray to God in thanks for all he has given me and ask for help to accomplish things that the next day will bring.
