Hi I'm Rowena

I am going to college to major in Psychology. I love photography. And yes... I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently going to college to major in Psychology and minor in Family and Marriage studies. I love photography. I definitely a beginner but I have began my own blog and I hope to be able to have my own side business when I am married with a family. I want to be a therapist and focus mainly on sexual addiction after I am done working for LDS Family Services. Before I wanted to be a therapist, I wanted to be an author. I love to fish, hunt, camp, hike... anything outdoors really. I am currently learning how to fly fish though bait fishing is still my favorite. I was on the swim team for two years during high school and after I stopped doing that, I have taken up work and have been working since my junior year and while on break during college. I took piano lessons for a couple years and my next goal is to learn how to play guitar. I love country music!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because being Mormon is what makes me HAPPY. I have been raised in the church all my life. Though, just because you are raised in the church does not mean you grow up believing in it your whole life. When I hit high school I was struggling with my faith because I had many non-Mormon friends who would constantly ask me why I was Mormon and try to sway my beliefs. I began to question my faith and did things I shouldn't have because my friends looked like they were having fun doing these things. The problem was though, after I began doing these things... I realized I wasn't free. I wasn't happy. I felt like I was in chains with all the lies and secrets I had. I decided it was time to tell my parents and the Bishop of my church because I KNEW I needed help and I KNEW that this church could give it to me. I know that this church is true and that it is what makes me happy. Even with all my past choices and all the temptations I have today, I know that I have been forgiven and I can grow and be strengthened from my past.

How I live my faith

I go to the activities that are provided for me. Whenever I am asked to do a calling, I always say yes because I know that these callings help strengthen my testimony and my skills. I love all of the activities that are provided for the youth such as volleyball, boating, skiing, and different life skills. These activities are meant to help create friendships and teach the youth. Some callings I have participated in were to help plan activities and lead the music during church for the youth.
