Hi I'm Jordyn

I grew up in Idaho and Utah. I am a medical assistant. I am serving an LDS mission in London. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Idaho, but I spent most of my growing up years living in Utah. During high school, I played on the varsity girls golf team. I also went to a technical college my senior year and earned my medical assisting degree. I attended Dixie State University after high school and earned my Associate of Science degree. I worked at a family doctors office during college and I absolutely loved my job. I loved being able to work with and help different kinds of people every day. I decided to serve a mission for the LDS church and I received my call to the London England South mission. I report January 29th 2015, and I couldn't be more excited.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and raised in the Mormon church. It was easy to be a part of the church growing up because my entire family attended and expected me to attend. It wasn't until I moved away from home and attending church became my decision. This was the period when I realized how the Mormon church provides me with friends anywhere I go and a place to belong. I also learned to rely on my Savior Jesus Christ to be there for me when I am going through hard times with work, school, friends, family, and anything else that life is throwing in my path. The Mormon church offers such an amazing support system and it really helped me to make friends and survive on my own when I moved away from home and friends. It also helped me to find happiness during hard times when I thought life couldn't get any worse. Those feelings of happiness are all thanks to Jesus Christ and the Atonement, I would be lost and miserable without Him. It seemed that moving away to college helped me to find my testimony and figure out that I was blessed to be raised in a Mormon family. I can't wait to share my love of the gospel and the happiness it brings with the people of London.

How I live my faith

Something that has always helped me to stay involved with the Mormon church and keep in touch with the Spirit is my involvement with music. I have been playing the piano for 14 years and I was called as the ward organist when I was only 17 years old and I have always been involved in helping my different wards with the music. Once, when I moved to a new ward, I was called as the ward pianist the first week I was there and the ward church leaders had no idea who I really was and if I could even play the piano. I absolutely love music and nothing helps me focus and feel the Spirit more than when I listen to church music.
