Hi I'm Krystin

I grew up in south Texas. I was baptized as a Latter Day Saint at 18. Served in the Great California Ventura Mission. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up with four brothers in south-east Texas. Our family was Roman Catholic, but we didn't regularly go to church. I always admired my friends who had a more personal relationship with God. When I was a freshman in high school I began to seek out a church that I would want to grow my faith and later raise my family in. I attended many different churches and they were all nice, but something was missing. I soon stopped my search. Flash forward two years and I met, who is now my best friend, Masey. Masey invited me to a Halloween party at her church. When we arrived and I found out she was LDS I wanted to attend one of her church meetings and see if it was any different from the other churches I had been to in the past. And it was! I felt a love and welcome, not necessarily from any of the members, but I now know it was the Spirit. I then began meeting with missionaries and knew, through prayer, that what they were teaching me was true. I soon desired to be baptized by someone holding that same authority that Jesus Christ himself held. At the time I was seventeen, and my Catholic mom didn't want me to join another church yet. So, with respect for my mom I decided I would wait a year until I was eighteen. In that year I read the Book of Mormon and strengthen my faith in Christ's restored Gospel. After I was baptized the blessings poured into my life! I am now 21. My mom & younger brother are baptized. I have returned from the California Ventura Mission and am attending BYUI!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Spirit has testified to me that this is Christ's restored church in these latter-days. This Gospel has brought me so much hope, comfort and love. I know now more than ever that my Heavenly Father loves me and knows me by name. I know my Redeemer lives and that He died for the sins of the world. And I am so blessed to have the fullness of the Gospel. This Gospel mean everything to me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily. I strive to walk as Christ had walked by helping those around me in any way I can. I try to reach out to my brothers and sisters with love and compassion. I strive to assist those who are sick and afflicted. Be charitable to the poor and needy. I just try every day to love those around me a little more than the day before.
