Hi I'm Tiffany

I'm a Kiwi, born and raised. I love to sing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of nine kids, and have many wonderful nieces and nephews. I enjoy singing very much, and I sing everywhere. Walking down the street, doing the dishes,at work and everywhere else. I did ballet for 13 years, and entered many competitions. I didn't usually win! I also love to read, and was a school Librarian in high school for 3 years. I was a house captain in my last year of school, and helped us to win the house cup! I like to walk, and will often pick that over driving to places. One of my favourite things to do is curl up on the couch with a good movie and good company.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have lived it my whole life, but I didn't know for myself that it was Gods' true church until I was in my teens. I had been following my parents and siblings, and borrowing their belief, until one day my mother told me that I needed to get a testimony, or conviction that the church was true, of my own. A few days later, I was reading in the scriptures, when I came across a scripture where the prophet at the time was calling on all the unbelievers to repent. He seemed to be talking directly to me, telling me that I needed to believe, that thinking it was true wasn't enough, I had to know! I got down on my knees, and I prayed. I told Heavenly Father everything that had happened, how I had been told I had to get my own testimony, the scripture I had just read, how I thought it was true but I didn't know, and I pleaded with him to tell me if it was true. All of a sudden, I stopped crying. My mind calmed, and I felt an overwhelming feeling of peace. And in my mind, the only words that I could hear were "the church is true". I felt the spirit of God that night, testifying to me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in my branch. I conduct the hymns we all sing in our Sunday meetings, and I also teach music to all the children under twelve in our branch. I sing with them, teach them actions to help them remember the words, help them understand the meaning in a song and conduct them in the musical presentation they do every year. I try to instill in them a love of music, particularly the beautiful songs we sing at church. I am also going to go on a full-time mission for eighteen months, where I will be teaching people about the gospel, and serving others in any way I can.
