Hi I'm Daniel

I love sports. I speak Portuguese. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I like sports and video games. One of my favorite sports is the UFC. Although I don't fight and don't pretend to, I enjoy watching all the fights with my family and friends. I also like to play basketball and football with my friends. I lived in Hawaii for 3 months while I went to school there before moving back home. I lived in Brazil for two years where I served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I loved learning about their culture and customs and I love speaking a new language. I currently go to school where I live and I am taking a Portuguese class just so I can keep up with the language. One day I plan to go back to Brazil to visit all the people I met, hopefully with my wife!

Why I am a Mormon

My whole family are members of this church and have been for generations. Although the pressure of being a member was present, ultimately the decision to continue to be a member of this church is and was mine. One of the main reasons I have for being a member is because of The Book of Mormon. This book makes or breaks all of our beliefs and I have prayed about it many times, even when I was actively preaching it's truthfulness to people in Brazil. I know that it is true and that it has all of Heavenly Father's truths in it. Whenever I feel like I'm alone, I can always remember that the Savior is with me, and that He went through so much pain and agony so that I would never have to feel alone. These are some of the many reasons why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending our weekly meetings and by participating in the activities we have. I visit fellow members that are struggling with their faith to try and help them make the decision to actively participate in our church meetings. In the past I have taught the youth good values and principles that would make them better husbands and wives in the future as well as successful people in the working world. I have served many others that are not of our faith by doing simple service such as cleaning up yards, helping others move in to their new homes and so on.
