Hi I'm Erin

I work as a dental assistant. My true passion is health and cooking. I have a blog called Erin`s Incredible Edibles. I`m a Mormon.

About Me

After high school I traveled to Ecuador and worked in orphanages for 3 months. This was one of the happiest times of my life because I love kids and it was completely service based. I have since been working as a Dental Assistant and Hygiene co-coordinator for the dental office I work in. I find mouths strangely fascinating. A couple of years ago I discovered I have several food intolerance's including gluten and dairy. I have gained a passion for cooking and experimenting with different recipes and love to share them with others! I used to love to run but the last year I have had some serious back issues so I haven`t been able to do much physical activity. Cooking and creating is something that I am able to do with my physical limitations and I am so grateful for it!

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 10 years old I was praying to know if the scriptures were true. One night when I was teaching my family a lesson from `The Friend` a feeling came over me like I had never felt before. It was such a peaceful, calming feeling and burning in my heart that my prayer had been answered. I knew that the scriptures really were true and have continually built on that testimony through the years. It is not always easy to read my scriptures every day, pray every day, fulfill my calling, keep all of the commandments, continually learn and grow, but I KNOW that it is worth it. This is what makes me happy. When I slack- I notice a difference in my life. We are not alone. Heavenly Father is always there for us to guide us, comfort us and help us when we fall short. There is a greater plan for us. We may not understand it all now, but I feel good when I do these things and I know that Jesus died for me so that I can live with him again.

How I live my faith

Each week I attend a religion class. They have the classes during the day and in the evening. I have learned so much from there classes, not only from the teachers but from my peers. I try to live my faith by being an example to people around me by acting and living the things I believe. Every month myself and another girl go to a couple different girls homes to visit them, teach them a short lesson and help them with anything they might need. I really enjoy this because I love to serve and get to know others. In my ward I am a ward missionary. This means I help teach others about the gospel and help reach out to those who are in need. Jesus was continually serving when he was on the earth and this is one of the many qualities he possessed that I continually try to be better at because this is what makes me happy.
