Hi I'm Candy

Converted in my thirties with my husband and four children. I enjoy genealogy. I'm a mormon.

About Me

Wife, mother, grandma and aunt. Enjoy family history, crocheting, reading, movies and teaching children in sunday school.

Why I am a Mormon

My grandfather remarried when my father was 12, they converted at this time as his wife was LDS. Dad was inactive all his adult life so I wasn't raised with the church in my life. In spite of that my father told me that if he were to ever go back to church it would be the Mormon church only. After only spending 5 years in the church at the age of almost 60 years, refusing to allow the missionaries to visit and not living the word of wisdom, he still had a small testimony. That had a great affect on me. I tried going to different churches that friends had invited me to and they were fine, but missing something. In my thirties I started the lessons with my husband sitting in and low and behold be joined with me. So one February four of us were baptized together (as two of our children were under 8). Words can't express the feelings that day brought.

How I live my faith

Have enjoyed my church callings (volunteer work) in working with children, from age 3 to 18. It"s rewarding and humbling.
