Hi I'm Esther Hale

I am the only active member in my school, but I have many wonderful friends. I am an artist and an optimist. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love to spread laughter, and because of this, I'm very bubbly and excited about life. I love to talk with friends and learn about other people. I love to express my feelings through art, and I love to uplift others. I am the only active Mormon at my school, but I don't hide the fact that I am. I'm sometimes teased, but I know that I have great friends, wonderful family, and a great Heavenly Father to turn to. I've not always had great friends, though. There was a period in my life where I felt very alone at school. I prayed every night to have a friend, or at least somebody to talk to. Then a science project rolled around, and I needed a partner. I was praying so hard while I saw other people getting picked. When there were only a few more, I saw somebody I recognized from other classes. I went up and asked her to be my partner, and from then on, we were the best of friends. I have a testimony of answers to prayers. Even if it is the most trivial thing, I know that God is there and he listens and answers us!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I've always had wonderful family support, but I never really had my own testimony until I went to the youth camp for girls for my stake. There, when we had testimony meeting, the Spirit was so strong, I was in tears. I knew right then that all the things I had been taught were right and true. Since then, the church has brought me so much happiness, I can't but help spread the joy to my peers. I know that my Heavenly Father knows me. He has shown me through tender mercies how much He cares. I know that each of us were put on this specific planet for a specific reason, and that we each need to trust in Him. I know that Jesus Christ died so that we may live forever. I know that through him we can become perfect. I know that the scriptures are true, and that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I know that there are modern prophets and apostles on the earth today, and that they all receive divine guidance. I know that we can find happiness if we follow God's commands, and that we will be able to live with our Father again.

How I live my faith

There was a period of time in our branch where I was the only youth in my class at church. I worked hard to get other people to come, and then a few girls started to attend. I grew really close to them, and encouraged them to bring other people. Now, whenever we get together, it doesn't seem like a church activity. It's like a family reunion! I bring the youth to dances and invite my friends from school, and try and get them involved. I help plan the activities, and provide rides when needed. My life would be empty without all the youth.
