Hi I'm Brendan Whitaker

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, but grew up in Missouri and Georgia. I love to wakeboard and build robots. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy many different activities. Throughout high school I participated in several engineering robotics clubs as well as an engineering internship. During the summer I would help my dad with his construction projects where we built our vacation home as well as improved our current home. I also waterski, wakeboard, kneeboard, and enjoy swimming in our lake. I enjoy most sports and nearly all outdoor activities. I like to go fishing, hiking, backpacking, and camping. I also enjoy indoor activities like video games or watching TV and movies. From my father I learned many woodworking and handiwork skills. I graduated in 2014 and will be attending college in 2017 after returning from a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family of church members. They raised me with their beliefs, and as I have grown old enough to understand the teachings I too have my own testimony of the truthfulness and power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through example. I like to live what I believe and I encourage my friends around me to either stand for their beliefs and live morally. I will be serving a two year mission from 2015 to 2017 in Idaho while speaking Spanish. I hope to be able to share the message that has brought me such happiness with all those around me, both on my mission and when I am home.
