Hi I'm Alexia

I am an Arizonian. I am a convert. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 19 year old girl with one goal ahead of me. I plan on serving a mission for the LDS church. I was baptized Catholic, but I didn't really practice the religion much until I was 13 and only for about a year and a half. I then decided to investigate the LDS church and am now a very active member. I spend a lot of my time serving others, which means I do community service and help my mother and family around the house a lot... I love it! I also love to read books, watch old movies and burn perfectly good food since I can't cook to save my life! A work in progress as my beautiful mother likes to say.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to get baptized when i was 16 years old. At the time, my older brother had already been baptized for about a year and he would invite the missionaries over to my house so that my parents could take the lessons. I remember listening in on their talks because i was very curious as to what made my brother so happy and different. I came to find for myself that this gospel is full of beauty, and most importantly, joy. This gospel teaches us that we have a purpose here on earth, and that is to become more Christ-like so that we can return to our Heavenly Father, who loves us and is waiting for us with arms wide open. I know that Jesus Christ died for us because he loves us. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ. I know that Heavenly Father called Joseph Smith to be the true and living prophet to restore His true church back onto this earth. This gospel allows you to embrace everything good, love sincerely and yearn for the true beauties of life.

How I live my faith

I love the organization of this church. I love that I am a member of a small branch. A Spanish speaking branch to be exact:) It is a place filled with love and friendship. I have the beautiful opportunity of going out with the missionaries and teaching others about this gospel. Finding people who are willing to learn and grow in the gospel is an immense blessing because while you're testifying of the things that you feel/know are true, you also get to meet beautiful people who are making you stronger and they don't even know it.
