Hi I'm Cameron

I grew up in Canada and became a US citizen in 1976. . I am a retired firefighter/paramedic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to build things. I spend much of my time fixing and remodeling my home and working in the yard. I also enjoy helping my friends and neighbors whenever they need help. As a grandfather, I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren. It's fun to watch them participate in various sporting and other activities. I play golf as much as possible. I also like spending time in the beautiful mountains of Utah in our RV relaxing. I consider myself as a pretty good cook and I like to create new and different dishes.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ. I also believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the same church that Christ himself established when he was upon the earth over 2000 years ago and has been restored in these latter days.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to live the commandments of God. I also try to follow the example that Jesus Christ set forth. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a lay church; there is no paid ministry. The different positions and callings in the church are administered by members of the congregation. The bishop of the ward (or branch) makes these callings. I live my faith by accepting these callings as they come. Some of these callings I have accepted in the past include serving a full time two year mission (Arizona), Scoutmaster, teacher in Primary and Sunday School, bishopric counselor in a ward and in a Young Singles branch, and various other positions. I have also been a temple worker. In living my faith, I try to live both of the great commandments; Love the Lord with all your heart, might, mind and strength and second, Love thy neighbor as they self.
