Hi I'm Kathy

I am from California, I love my family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married my High School sweetheart while still young and we have four wonderful children and nine grandchildren and recently a great-grandson, two of our grandchildren are now in the spit world with my good husband and my Dad. I have seven of them are here on earth with me and that new great-grandson. Our family is blessed with MAN power; we have 1 daughter and 3 sons, and 2 granddaughters and 7 grandsons and 1 great-grandson. The four women and daughter-in-laws in our family have to be strong. I love my family and am grateful to know we will all be reunited after this temporary life and together permanently throughout eternity. I enjoy all kinds of crafts but especially quilting. I enjoy being outdoors camping or hiking in this beautiful world and I like to garden. I enjoy attempting the art bonsai and have about a dozen. I am especially fond of new mothers and infants and practiced as a midwife for a time. Birth into this temporary life is a joyous miracle as is the end of life and the return home to the spirit world where we came form.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. There are three major ways I know this. The first is reason. The truth is always reasonable and in harmony with other truth. The teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ are consistent and constantly in harmony with the truth found in the ancient scriptures of the Bible and the Book of Mormon as well as more modern scripture revealed thru Joseph Smith in the Doctrine and Covenants and the teachings today’s Prophet. Second is by personal revelation. Thru the gift of prayer we can ask and receive an answer to our questions from the Holy Ghost. I have felt that answer in my heart as an overwhelming feeling of love and peace. The third is by testing and proving the teaching by putting them to use in my life. As I live the teachings of Jesus Christ they change my life for the better and give me peace and joy.

How I live my faith

This past year I have enjoyed teaching the 5 to 6 year olds in primary on Sundays. I am now preparing to leave my family for two years and serve the people of Cebu in the Philippines as a Perpetual Education Fund/Self Reliance Missionary.
