Hi I'm Cassity

I'm a ski and swim instructor, artist, outdoors enthusiast, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family of four girls and NO boys. Our family was one that was always out and about doing something. Since I was a toddler there has always been a new adventure from training horses, to skiing, to white water river rafting. I guess in a way my personality reflects my upbringing. I love experiencing and trying new things! In the past I've been known to enjoy ceramics, welding, playing musical instruments (such as the didgeridoo and viola), training horses and dogs, art, writing, gymnastics, water polo, and just about anything else that involves something new and different.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but that doesn't mean I didn't need to do my own soul searching and witness my own personal conversion. I have a questioning heart, which is both a strength and sometimes a weakness! I'm greatful and lucky that I grew up in a family where I was taught to work hard. It turns out that having faith in God isn't much different. Its something you have to work at daily if you want to see the results, but I can promise that if you work at it the results will ALWAYS come. They may not be in your timing, or in the way you expect, but god cares deeply about each of us! He's done so much for me personally that there's no way I can deny his existence. It is through practicing the Mormon religion, prayer, and reading the Scriptures especially the Book of Mormon, that I have discovered the most peace.

How I live my faith

One of the ways very recently that I have been able to live my faith is through serving in the Ohio Cleveland Mission, part of this calling has involved serving in the Historic Kirtland Visitors Center. Its been an amazing experience to share how my faith with others in this capacity.
