Hi I'm Chris

I live in Pennsylvania. I'm the husband of an amazing wife and father of 4 great kids, 2 boys and 2 girls.

About Me

I have a great family with an amazing wife and four kids: 2 boys and 2 girls. With some friends, I started a business that helps people understand what traffic conditions are like on the roads in 70+ cities around the United States. Before that, I was a submarine officer in the US Navy. I love to read and write. I also try my best to stay in shape.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been Mormon since the mid-1800s. While we have a long family tradition as members of the Church, each of us has to receive our own knowledge of the truthfulness of the Gospel. I was 15 when I began an earnest quest for truth, no longer wanting to rely entirely on my parents' belief. I read as much as I could from the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I studied and prayed quite intensely. I wanted to receive a witness through the Spirit of God whether or not the Book of Mormon is true, the Church is true, and if this is the life that God wants me to lead. I will never forget the feeling I felt when God answered my prayers. Kneeling beside my bed, in my own bedroom, God revealed to me, a young teenager, the reality of the Gospel. That is why I am a Mormon. Many more prayers have been answered as other doubts and challenges come up in my life, but I still look back to that humble experience as the time when I came to know that God is in His heaven and that He answers our sincere prayers.

How I live my faith

I love feeling the Spirit of God. I always look forward to church each Sunday, anticipating the things I will learn. I teach the young men in our congregation. I try my best to help them understand and appreciate their divine origin (we are all children of God) and to set goals that are appropriate for sons of God.
