Hi I'm Jessica

I grew up in Utah, I am the only daughter of 6 children and I love my family. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm currently working full time at a technology company in the sales department. I am saving money to meet my goals and serve an lds mission, I am so excited! I love life, I am a very smiley person and I love to laugh and have fun. I sing at the top of my lungs throughout the day, I create through art, and I have been playing the violin for over 8 years. Above all though, spending time with family is the best thing in this world!

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a child I had many instances where I was alone and in a dark place.. In these hard times I always had the scriptures, and the Holy Ghost and my Savior Jesus Christ. They showed me the light that I carried inside of me and the good in the world. As I've grown up I always tried to follow the commandments to the "T" because I knew it was right and I didn't want to disappoint my Father in heaven, I liked to be good. But, now as I've been truly trying to understand why I am a Mormon, it's because I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. If you serve a person and spend time with them, you will come to love and know them on a personal level. As I have served the Lord by loving His children, praying to Him, and thinking about Him... I have learned to love Him, and all I desire is to give Him all of me and see Him again. I try to imagine what it will be like to give him a big hug, to be held by a God who knows and loves me completely. We learn in the scriptures that Jesus Christ died on the cross and suffered our every pain so that we will live again after we die, forever with our families. Also, because he suffered every pain and affliction we will ever go through, He knows exactly how to comfort us. I have felt that comfort and He has never given up on me, He is always with me. I know that without Him my life would end once I died, I owe everything to Him. When we learn of Him we know who He is, what he did for us, we gain a love and understanding that we couldn't otherwise gain, because we are being taught by the Father who knows all things. I know Jesus Christ lives, I know He is alive and here with us, and I testify that anyone who truly searches will find a happiness nothing else in this world can provide. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church of God on the earth today. I testify of these truths in Jesus Christ's name, amen.

How I live my faith

In the past I have been able to serve the young women in my neighborhood and community. The church gives us many opportunities to serve, I was able to learn of my worth as I learned to love these girls. I also served all of the youth in my community by teaching them how to find out their own family history. Me and a group of youth created events and other activities to teach them how to use familysearch.org and ancestry.com and other sites and to get them excited about family history. We also were able to take them to the temple where we can perform baptisms and other ordinances for those who have passed on. Currently, I am serving young adults who live in my community by reaching out to them and teaching them about the gospel and Jesus Christ. Many young adults feel alone and need to know they are amazing and can accomplish so much with just a little motivation and love, I am honored to be their friends and serve them.
