Hi I'm Torie

I've never lived where it snowed. I'm a single young adult. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to be in a leadership position, but know when to follow. In high school I was very active in student council and loved to be a part of everything. I like to create events, like dances and fundraisers. I haven't started college yet, because I am going on a mission, but plan to go when I come back and become a Veterinarian Technician. I'm pretty shy sometimes, but really love to get to know people. I hope that my mission will help me be more outgoing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the gospel is true. I was raised in this religion and have always known it to be true. As I've grown I decided to learn more about it myself by reading my scriptures and praying. I made decisions to better myself and follow God's commandments more. From these decisions I was blessed so much. I have the feeling of the Holy Ghost with me all the time and strive to keep him there. I decided to go on a mission and have become such a better person already. I can feel the love of my Heavenly Father and through my faith and what I've learned it all just makes sense. Jesus Christ has to be our Savior. So, The Book of Mormon has to be true. So, Joseph Smith has to be a true prophet of God. So, Thomas S Monson has to be the living Prophet now. I love this gospel. I am a Mormon because I know that I am a child of God.

How I live my faith

When I was in the young single adult branch, I coordinated Family Home Evening. Since most of us didn't live with our family we came together as our own little family to play some games. I helped plan the activities and the Spiritual thought. I was also a teaching in the class that just the women attend. I am now a teacher in Primary, which is where the children go to class. I love teaching those eleven year olds! They know so much more than I did at that age and are at such a great place in their life where they're deciding who they want to be and if they really believe it.
