Hi I'm CharLynn McCulloch (Charlie)

I love this gospel. I love my family. I love my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah! I grew up with 4 amazing brothers and 4 amazing Sisters. I am 21 years old. I served 3 wonderful months in the Utah Salt Lake City South Mission and served the rest of my mission in the Georgia Macon mission. It truly has blessed my life. I learned so many things that have touched my life and met some amazing people out there. Served from Feb. 2015- Sept. 2016 I love to sing, make flowers for Prom!! I also love writing letters to family, friends of encouragement! I also have a wonderful best friend (My Dad) on the other side watching over myself and my Family. I am so grateful for my family and for all they do for me! Don't know where I would be with out them. I know that families can live together after this life forever. I can't wait to see my love ones again.

Why I am a Mormon

I was always taught as a young child that families can be together forever. It really hit me strong when my father passed away. During that day I was with him all day before he passed. I could see that he didn't have much longer. So that night I was with some friends from church. I came back home and found out that my brothers had just given my dad a blessing. I had been praying for him to stay, to let his pain go away. So later that night my prayer changed. I told my father in heaven that it was okay to take him. Later that night my dad passed away. I was currently working on my papers to serve a mission. I was feeling like why now... I am about to go on a mission. I need my dad. But then I really thought for a moment. My younger sisters were having a hard time. Knowing that they weren't going to do the things I did with him. So I really thought about the Atonement. I knew that Jesus Christ was with me. He was feeling what I was feeling. I am still sad that my dad isn't with me here physically. But he is here spiritually; watching over me, helping me make those right choices along the way. I am so grateful that I am able to share this gospel with those I come across with and let them know that they can be with their families for ever and ever.

How I live my faith

I have been called on a mission from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! As a missionary you sacrifice 18-24 months away from home, college and you leave your family back home, etc. You go out serving the Lord to find his lost sheep. I am so grateful to be one of those working hands. I also try to be the greatest example at home, school, mission, around my friends and others I meet.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

CharLynn McCulloch (Charlie)
A testimony is a spiritual witness given to an individual by the Holy Ghost. A testimony is something that can't come all at once but comes over time in our life. We can have a strong testimony by sharing with others. As we do so it will grow and we will be able to help others strengthen their testimony as well! The foundation of a Mormon’s testimony is the knowledge that Heavenly Father lives and loves us; that Jesus Christ lives, that He is the Son of God, and that He carried out the infinite Atonement; that Joseph Smith is a prophet, which God called to restore Jesus Christ’s church to the earth; that we are led today by a living prophet; and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Savior’s Church restored on the earth today Show more Show less
