Hi I'm Stephen Hales

I grew up in small town Idaho. I love to play sports and be active. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently serving in the Washington Seattle mission for the Mormon church. It's amazing to talk to people about Jesus Christ and see the difference this message can make in their life. Being a missionary is awesome, and the experiences I have had in the mission field have confirmed to me even more that this gospel is the truth. I enjoy sports a lot! I have played many sports competitively over the years including football, basketball, track, and baseball. Having the opportunity to participate in sports has taught me how to overcome adversity and learn how to improve myself. I love being able to go out and push myself to my limits.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the only true church on earth. As I applied the teachings of Jesus Christ into my life, I could see the result of this great message change every part of my life in a positive way. Eventually, like anybody who is interested in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I turned to the Book Mormon for an answer. As promised in the Book of Mormon, and honest investigation of its truthfulness, by reading and diligently asking God whether it is divine, resulted in a powerful answer confirming it's legitimacy. As I have continued to align my life to follow the teachings of Christ, I have continued to see the results of that answer in my life. I know my prayers have been answered.

How I live my faith

I have served in various positions throughout the last several years involving the young men program (ages 12-18) in the church. Like I mentioned above, I am on a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints right now. As a missionary, my purpose isn't to annoy, to solicit, or to tear down faith; but rather, to share with others the great message that there is a true church on the earth, and that great joy comes from following it.
