Hi I'm Lauren

I'm a runner, I'm a student, I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am currently deferring from BYU Provo in order to serve a mission in Reynosa, Mexico, beginning March 4, 2015. When I return, I am hoping to apply for the Nursing school at BYU. I love running and ran cross country and track all through high school and the one semester of college I attended. I love being with my family: my mom, my dad, my three younger brothers, and our dog Jasper.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel brings me more peace and joy than anything else. When I was younger and didn't really understand a lot about the gospel, I would get really worried about my family members dying. As I came to know the Plan of Salvation and the reality that there is life beyond the grave and family relationships can last forever, I wasn't worried anymore. I knew that everything was going to be OK, no matter what happened. Since then, my testimony has grown and grown, and I truly love the church and its teachings and know it is TRUE.

How I live my faith

As I mentioned in my bio, I have a call to serve as a missionary in the Mexico, Reynosa mission for 18 months. I will be teaching and testifying of the gospel of Jesus Christ and inviting others to come unto Him by accepting that gospel. In the past I have led the music that we sing as a part of our worship at church.
